S'Tile technology
The wafer equivalent unique cell : a cost effective Si thin film cell structure
The active part of the cell structure is a thin film cell (20 µm) composed of solar grade crystalline silicon. It is supported by a low cost sintered silicon substrate, robust and scalable to large dimensions (m²).
A thin film mirror interposed between the substrate protects the high purity active area to be contaminated by the substrate and enhance the absorption of the light in the thin film cell so that high efficiency can be obtained (18%) like in classical multi-crystalline technology.

SoG material is only present in the Epi active layer 20 µm thick.
A new concept of solar cells : the integrated cell I-Cell
Integration is easily obtained by processes such as laser scribing, localized Sintered Si oxydation and surface interconnections

All Silicon
Cell cost : - 50% ; Module cost : - 40%.
Area of integrated cell from 15 x 15 cm² to 50 x 50cm².
