Wafer and cells

The products of S’Tile technology will be :

• Wafers fully compatible with standard 156 mm PV cell production with classical multicrystalline methods. According to the Wafer equivalent concept, the cell can be prepared at low production costs from the Thin film on Sintered wafer with a standard PN junction technology ;
• The future Development : The very specific integrated cell making full use of the Sintered wafer potential. The sintered substrate incorporates different sub-cells connected in serie and insulated from each other by localized oxydation, resulting in a much higher cost reduction and an enhanced efficiency.
