S´Tile is a start up based on the work of Professor Alain Straboni at the university of Poitiers and the CNRS. It´s located near the Futuroscope Park, the Vienne region of France.

Owners of several patents, S´Tile developed a new technology for the production of silicon wafers for photovoltaic energy.

Using sintering technics also used in the ceramics industry, S´Tile aims to produce low-cost substrates with different forms and shapes like “solar tiles”.

This innovative process will answer to the new expectations of the energy market : lower price and better architectural integration of photovoltaic components.
